This operated great, happy I located your blog post! My ML-1210
is still chugging in addition to Windows 8 now.
Merely one adjustment though 9.61 appears to be the size (MB), not the model.
The version is in fact 3.01.

Replaced the cartridge, same problem with grinding.
Don't know exactly what to do due to the fact that its 6 years old, and no actual repair work spots. I might tear it apart and check out it. Many thanks.
